COAS congratulates PM Imran on assuming charge

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan on assuming office.

The meeting was held at Prime Minister Office (PMO) in which the prime minister and the army chief discussed the country’s security situation and reiterated their desire to bring peace and stability while continuing efforts to achieve regional harmony.

Earlier on Monday, the army chief offered condolences to the family of deceased United States Senator John McCain.

The Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said in a tweet quoting Gen Bajwa that McCain believed in mutually beneficial ties between both countries.
